Joining the cast for season 11 is Michael James Shaw as Mercer. The trailer also features a shot of red armor, which almost certainly belongs to Mercer. The video starts off with the voice of Eugene (Josh McDermitt) answering various questions, like "Why are you here?" and "Have you ever been vaccinated for the measles?" In April, along with the release date announcement, AMC unveiled the first teaser trailer.
There isn't much in the way of new footage, however. "This is how we survive: We tell ourselves we are the walking dead."

And then the final batch of episodes is likely to be released in spring or summer 2022. The second batch is expected to debut this winter or in early 2022. The first batch, including episode 1, will premiere August 22. The Walking Dead season 11 will be divided into three parts of eight episodes each.
The fact that they're only offering "freelance roles" raises some red flags, too. However, let's hope that it can deliver qualities experiences because the later seasons of popular titles like The Walking Dead suffered from performance and storytelling issues. Waddle's previous experience includes running sales and marketing for the Havok game engine. Ottilie has spent much of his career in mobile games, most recently as founder and CEO of Galaxy Pest Control, which is best known for licensed games based on Duck Dynasty and Power Rangers. Ottilie said that some workers from the original Telltale Games will be offered freelance roles, with full-time positions possible in the future. The new Telltale is headed up by Jamie Ottilie and Brian Waddle. The new company will sell some of Telltale's back catalog and will work on new games based on a few Telltale-associated properties, as well as new licenses.
